Fake OnlyFans Scam
Another Instagram scam is in the book boys. Another reason why you should keep your profile private:
Usually, the scammer stocks the person for some time and then makes an account in their name and steals their photos. Once the account is made; the scammer follows a bunch of people and tries to get them to go on the website (see picture) mascaraed as an onlyfans/pocketstars account. Alot of people fall for it of course!!!
If you are a victim, let your followers know immediately so people don’t fall for it. Make your account private. If you report it to scamblox we will keep the account in our black/watchlist to see if other similar accounts get remade after some time.
Also, keep an eye out for other identity theft scams that usually come associated with this. Most of the time, the pictures can get released on the darknet and fake accounts like this can arise in the near future. Be wary of messages from strangers asking you for sexually explicit images; it could be a sign that someone is claiming to be you scamming other people.
Also, make sure no other data from you have been recently phished- this includes your address/ email address/ phone number or birthdate. Alot of identity theft centers around this information.
